2 weeks gone and 2 weeks to go

It's Saturday morning, just had an awesome breakfast with my awesome flatmate and will spend the rest of the day studying before heading to dance class tonight. Classic day in the life of Camila.

So the last you have heard of me was about Raisin and saying I was sick. Still recuperating, but life is back at its normal state. Lots of studying! There are only two weeks of classes left! TWO WEEKS! It's crazy! After that not even a week and a half of essays and then Martinmas will be over! The crazy thing is that there is SO MUCH left to do in those 3 weeks haha

The last two week have been chill, since I was sick I mainly stayed at home.

Here's a little summary:
I attended a bunch of meetings. One of which made me realise how pathetic the meetings at Concordia were..I know this isn't a bash Concordia blog and I did love my time there, but there was a sense of chaos at most of the meetings I attended. Perhaps it is normal because there were so many of us at Concordia (I mean the student pop was about 42K and here it is less than 8K), but anyways the meetings are very interesting and relevant, and concise.

Worked for the visiting day and it was awesome! Gave my first tour and it gave me a good sense of accomplishment. Parents were asking a bunch of questions and at the end they thanked me profusely. Good feeling :)

Went to the Obama debate: This House Would Reelect Barack Obama. And we did vote we would, but I guess that's normal, most people from the EU or elsewhere like Obama better, but there were a good 23 people who voted against lol, pretty funny. On Tuesday the US showed us they aren't as dumb as we think and reelected Obama, so good job to them!

Attended the PG 90s disco. It was fun, but there is a very low attendance, it's disappointing. Anyhow, I was feeling very sick so I didn't stay very late unfortunately.

Gave in my first paper! It is non assessed but I am still stressed at the thought of failing pathetically.

Finally, attended a cool (yet horridly windy and cold) photoshoot in Sallies Quad. There were more than 1,000 students and we recreated the university coat of arms. Here's the coat of arms.

Here's the human coat of arms with a nice view of the sea in the back :)

In the next two weeks:
Supposed to go visit Inverness next week! yay!

I have 6 classes left to attend.

3 papers to write.

2 balls to attend: The Welly Ball (yes a ball where everyone wears wellies, sounds sooo comfortable I can't wait!) and the St Andrews Day Ball (which is also the graduation ball for postgrads).

1 visiting day.

And then I'll be home. WHAT? exciting :)

* * *

and I will leave you on this little picture. I transformed a maple syrup can into a paper holder haha
I miss home these days xoxo
