1 month

September 9th - October 9th.

One month in St Andrews already. It's crazy because it's been feeling like I've been here so long, like work was months ago not just 6 weeks ago, but at the same it's been going by so fast. So many things have changed and yet so little. Yes this is like an abyss of incongruities.

So this is already week 4 out of 10 of classes. In less than two months I will already been done the Martinmas semester. Crazy!

But I do miss home! I dream about it regularly haha. Small things, like I think I am sleeping in my bed back home and I wake up almost falling off because I forgot I was in a single bed haha. Bigger things too, I dreamed I was on a roadtrip with my mom yesterday and when I woke up I realised it would be months before I would see her again. So slightly sad sometimes, but I'm too busy to let myself be sad haha.

And as much as I do miss home, I feel pretty settled in here. Classes are well on their way. Essay topics are starting to pop up. Last week I was elected (I don't know by who haha because no one seemed to know) the class rep for the postgrads of the School of English.  I am also an associate student ambassador this year (no I don't have that much stuff going on! :P) and tomorrow I will be starting! It is the first open day and I will be helping out either at registration or I will be shadowing a tour to be able to give tours later in the here. Very exciting! So if any of you, non St Andreans, come over I'll be able to give a nice detailed tour ;)  And since we are highly encouraged to wear the academic gown, I got one and I'll post a picture hopefully by the end of the week!
